Pete the “Doc” has a raunchy dirty whore of a Dyna. His Military style FXDX is everything you would expect from a road warriors Harley. This is Doc’s only transportation and being a So Cal resident facilitates this as a Daily rider. Doc rides day / night rain / shine….. Around 750 miles per week. It’s fair to say this Dyna is well used and well loved.
This is a 2000 FXDX that started out as a Richard Simmons plum purple special. A few mishaps facilitated the transformation to this rough military styling. When asked if any plans for beautification are in the works the Doc Says nah, “the more wear the better” since he does more miles in a month than most owners do in a year.
The Engine is an 88″ with gear driven Fueling cams. Standard 5 speed trans and T-Header pipe.
The accessories include a custom fabbed wind vest attached above a custom headlight enclosure fabbed out of a helmet that was left over after a long slide down the freeway. The saddle bags are fabbed out of 5.56mm ammo cans.
Future plans at this point in time is for a 6 speed Baker cluster and general mechanical maintenance……
